Report Overflowing or Full Litter Bins

East Herts manage the majority of public bins in the District and have also installed many across the district.  The emptying and ongoing management of these bins depends on the location.

As a general rule of thumb, the following rings true:

  • Parks and open spaces and playgrounds are normally managed by East Herts so responsibility will rest with us
  • Bins in Town are mostly emptied by East Herts
  • Bins along river paths will often be the responsibility of the canals trust. For more information please visit the Canals Trust website.
