Reporting a missed bin

Unfortunately due to significant staff shortages, some roads cannot be collected on the usual day. The collection calendar may show a delay or the date may be missing (if we have to cancel a collection). If you see “crews are still working in your area” this also means the collection is delayed, please leave the bin out. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding

Our Garden Waste Service is a paid for service. Please only report a missed collection if you have a paid for subscription to this service.

Report a missed bin

If your bin collection has been missed, you can let us know using our online reporting service. You must make this report within two days of your missed collection.

Before you report a missed bin please read the guidance below.

You should only report a missed bin if:

  • Your bin was put out on the correct collection day. This can be checked using our Address Look-up on the Find your collection day page. 
  • Your bin was out before 7am on the day of collection
  • Your bin was on the boundary of your property.
  • A sticker has not been placed on your bin stating we have not been able to empty your bin. If this has occurred, please see our Common Collection Problems page

When reporting a missed bin you do not have to leave any personal information, but if you choose to do so it will be processed in accordance with our data protection notice
