East Herts has appointed Deyton Bell to provide support services for local businesses in the district after the council was awarded a £1.2 million European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) contract from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG).

The Government has taken this decision in response to a new, faster spreading variant of the virus which is creating a significant increase to case numbers across London and the South East.

The annual publication of the Electoral Register for East Hertfordshire on 1 December reveals that there are currently 113,628 people registered to vote across the district – almost 3,000 more than on the previous revised register published in November 2019 and believed to be the highest ever figure for the area.
