Pro-skaters, Nick Remon and Alfie Mills, headlined the skate jam which marked the official opening of Castle Park’s new skate park by the Mayor of Bishop’s Stortford, Richard Townsend.
Visitors who came to celebrate #LoveParksWeek at the East Herts Council family-friendly events in Southern Country Park, Bishop’s Stortford and Pishiobury Park, Sawbridgeworth last week enjoyed dog shows, craft activities, face painting, meet-ups with cows, bug hunts, and fitness trails, together with visits from Hertfordshire Police Service and Dogability.
To celebrate Love Parks Week this summer East Herts Council are hosting two free family fun events at Southern Country Park in Bishop’s Stortford and Pishiobury Park in Sawbridgeworth.
Representatives of East Herts Council and Hertfordshire County Council have joined Friends of Pishiobury Park and other project partners in Sawbridgeworth to mark the successful completion of the park’s Heritage Discovery Project.
Three new high quality tennis courts situated to the north of Castle Park are now open. Accredited by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), they will provide a significantly enhanced experience for Bishop’s Stortford’s tennis enthusiasts.
East Herts Council opened a new activity space at Thorley Wedge in Bishop’s Stortford today (Friday 12 May). The wide range of new equipment allows young teenagers and adults to meet and socialise outdoors while staying active and keeping fit.
