In October 2024, Full Council appointed Helen Standen - then Deputy Chief Executive - as Interim Chief Executive for a period of up to 18 months.
With the interim arrangement now well underway, the council is moving forward with recruitment. The role is being advertised in the local government trade press and on the council’s website. Applications are open until 30 June, with shortlisting and interviews planned for July. The council aims to confirm a permanent appointment in August.
