Joint statement from East Herts Council and Everyone Active

As you would have seen, the external development of the new extension at Hartham is progressing well, and we are looking at the next stage of the project: a new gym extension, two new group exercise studios, soft play facilities and a café, which will be opening late summer. We are finalising the opening date in the next few weeks and will be looking forward to opening more extensive and better services.

Despite the positive progress, unfortunately, there will be some disruption to our current gym offering. For the safety of gym users, staff, and our contractors, we will need to reconfigure the gym space to allow the next stage of work which is to start forming the entrance to the new gym.
To allow the contractor to carry out this essential work, we will close the gym on Saturday 3 June until 2pm whilst some equipment is moved, and a few items relocated. Access to alternative gyms in East Herts will be available for this period.

From the week commencing Monday 5 June, there will be no access to the left-hand side of the current gym. This will allow our contractor to begin the knock through to create the new entrance to the gym. From Saturday 10 June the left side of the gym will reopen but with reduced space and equipment. This will be in place until the new gym is opened late summer.

We apologise for any disruption to your workout routine; this work is an essential and positive step to the launch of the new refurbishment and must be carried out in the safest way possible.

Thank you for your patience and support during this time.
