Volunteer to be a friend of Castle Park
The Friends of Castle Park are a group of volunteers who dedicate their free time to enhancing Castle Park, which is situated in the heart of Bishops Stortford.

One of the main aims of the Friends group is to increase usage of the park for the greater community and ensure that Castle Park is an enjoyable and inclusive space to visit. The Park has been awarded a £2 million Grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to unite two existing greenspaces in to one vibrant and inviting area. The project will focus on transforming the park into the ultimate community hub for all.

There are varying opportunities for everyone to become involved, like assisting with heritage and conservation activities, or perhaps you might be interested in taking on an officer role to support the running of the group. However you get involved, the Friends of Castle Park is a fantastic facilitator for individuals to enhance the community, meet new people, and learn new skills.

Every three months the Friends meet to discuss the direction of the group and future opportunities. Anyone interested in their local park and community is welcome to attend. The next meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 6 December 2022 at 7:30pm, Bishops Stortford Town Council Chambers, Windhill, CM23 2ND.
