Update on Hartham Play Area
Published 19th May 2021
Hartham Play Area
Despite the obstacles we have experienced including Covid-19 and Brexit, we have completed the play area and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for following us on this journey and your patience as we worked to deliver a new destination play area for our county town.

Though the main play area components are now complete, we will need to carry out further works to the pathway as there is a national shortage of the material required to complete this in the style we envisaged.  Unfortunately we will not be able to lay the path until the week commencing 7 June, which will require a short closure. However we are aware that many residents and visitors are understandably eager to explore the new play area and so subject to final safety inspections we will be carry out a soft opening  from the afternoon of Wednesday 19th May. Please note the fencing surrounding the play area will remain up until final installation of the pathway.

We hope everyone is able to enjoy the new play area. We must remind all users of the play area to continue to follow government advice and social distance, wash hands regularly and if the play area is busy please come back later. Thank you for your cooperation.
