Investment by East Herts District Council (EHDC) in the new Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre has achieved its next milestone with the tiling of the swimming pool.

Despite the Coronavirus pandemic the new leisure centre development is going from strength to strength.

Eric Buckmaster, executive member for wellbeing at East Herts Council said, “I was astounded by how well the new leisure centre is taking shape during my visit to the site and it was an honour to install the last tile in the swimming pool wall. It is a credit to the team that work has progressed in a timely manner despite potential obstacles. The project is still running on schedule and we cannot wait to provide Bishop’s Stortford with a facility befitting of the town.”

Steve Kitchen, Operations Director at Willmott Dixon said, “We’re delighted to be able to celebrate this milestone within the project along with EHDC and Councillor Eric Buckmaster. Once completed, the Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre will provide up to date, modern facilities for the surrounding community.”

Completion is on track for Autumn 2021.
