A total of 63 affordable properties will be completed between now and November. This includes 36 one and two-bedroom maisonettes for affordable rent and 27 two, three and four bedroom houses available for shared ownership. Eight of the affordable rented homes are already finished and will soon be welcoming new tenants through the door.
The commitment to environmental sustainability shines through at the new development, with all homes at Hazel Park having Vaillant Air Source Heat Pumps as standard, along with high levels of insulation and energy efficiency.
Cllr Joseph Dumont, Executive Member for Corporate Services, said, “It’s wonderful to see the progress being made at this new development in Walkern and prospective residents can certainly be excited about their new homes. I'm especially delighted that we are increasing new, affordable housing opportunities for local people in housing need in our district.”
