Business Carer Permits Terms and Conditions

Caring in our community is an important role which can be made more difficult in areas restricted by resident permit parking zones (RPZ).

Carer permits are available to businesses and the following rules apply.

The permit is ONLY valid when the driver of the vehicle is on active duty as a carer.

This permit is NOT a cheap parking option for office workers. These permits are supplied ONLY to peripatetic carers and not for office based personnel or staff which may be on-call.

This permit is not valid when visiting your business premises e.g. for meetings.

This permit is valid for Resident Permit Zones in East Herts only whilst visiting residents and administering care to residents of that specific zone and we would not expect vehicles to be parked for extended periods.

This permit does not entitle the holder to park in council car parks without payment, on single or double yellow lines or any other parking restrictions.

When using this permit, please ensure that you do not park over driveways unless you have permission from the householder to do so.

This permit does not cover zones B6 or W1.

Always observe the governing parking restrictions when parking your vehicle. This permit does not allow you to park in contravention of regulations.
