Procurement Rules, Regulations and Strategy
The Council must follow UK Legislation on Public Sector Purchasing. In addition to this we also have our own contract procedure rules and thresholds that must be adhered to below the procurement act threshold.
UK Regulations
There are certain thresholds of spend that are dictated by the Procurement Act 2023. These thresholds which change regularly. You can view the current thresholds. Anything over these thresholds must be tendered and advertised in Find a Tender.
Council Regulations
In addition to the EU and UK regulations we also have our own contract procurement rules and thresholds that must be adhered to below the PA23 threshold.
