Offering visitors an eco-friendly and convenient way to feed the ducks healthy food to support their diet, whilst maintaining a waste-free environment. The machine has been provided and installed by The Feed Ducks Initiative Ltd, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Southern Country Park.
Yesterday, Wednesday 19 March, BEAM, Hertford’s leading multi-purpose arts venue, has officially opened its much-anticipated Stage 2. After years of planning and collaboration, this marks a significant expansion of the district’s cultural and entertainment landscape. The new performance space will allow BEAM to offer an even greater variety of shows, including innovative productions, community performances, and emerging artists, solidifying its reputation as a key creative hub in the region.
All 11 councils in Hertfordshire and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) have agreed a joint interim response to the Government outlining a number of initial options for the reorganisation of local government structures in the county.
Commemorating East Herts Council’s 50th anniversary, 50 trees have been planted in the district’s three Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs) and areas of air pollution, with another 50 planted in locations experiencing traffic congestion and flood risk. All the trees will contribute to improving air quality and tackling the effects of climate change across the district.
Park-goers in East Herts are being invited to offer their feedback on a draft Greenspace Action Plan (GAP) which aims to ensure the recently redeveloped Castle Park is sustainably managed, whilst committing to the continued protection and evolution of the park for future generations.
