Register to vote or check if you are registered. The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday 24 June 2025.
Voting by post - the deadline for receiving new postal vote applications is 5pm on Wednesday 25 June 2025. For more information and to apply for a proxy vote visit: Apply for a proxy vote - GOV.UK.
You are required to show photographic ID in order to vote at a polling station for this election. The list of accepted ID can be found here: How to vote: Photo ID you'll need - GOV.UK. If you do not have any of the ID listed, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate by 5pm on Wednesday 2 July 2025. Voting by emergency proxy - the deadline for receiving new emergency proxy vote applications is 5pm on Thursday 10 July 2025. You can apply if:
- You have a medical emergency(opens in new window)
- You are away for work(opens in new window)
- Your photo ID is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged, and the deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate has passed,(opens in new window)
