New Local Plan Evidence Base
East Herts Council is preparing an evidence base to support the new Local Plan and inform decision-making. The diagram below illustrates the range of documents being prepared as part of the evidence base.
These documents do not in themselves form the Council’s planning policies. Technical work is often undertaken on a district-wide basis or in partnership with neighbouring authorities. In some instances, evidence is prepared by independent consultants acting on behalf of the Council.
