Sustainability Appraisal (SA) / Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)
Scoping Report
East Herts Council has prepared a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) / Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Scoping Report as the first stage of the SA / SEA process. The Scoping Report sets out the context and objectives, establishes the baseline information for the district, and decides on the scope of the report. This will be used in assessing the emerging new Local Plan, and monitoring post adoption of the Plan.
The Scoping Report looks at the following key topics:
• Population, health and wellbeing
• Housing
• Economy and employment
• Natural environment and landscape
• Climate change and flooding
• Historic environment
• Land, soils, waste and resources
• Water resources and quality
• Transport, air quality and noise
