From 1 April residents will need to have signed up for East Herts Council’s chargeable garden waste collection, if they wish to continue receiving collections of their brown bin.
East Herts Council’s proposed change to move to a chargeable garden waste collection was given the green light at last night’s Extraordinary Council meeting.
The challenge of moving to achieve a carbon-neutral district was eagerly taken up by residents, community groups and businesses as a buzz of ideas and suggestions filled the room at Fletchers Lea in Ware last week.
During high winds, bins with a small amount of waste can be blown over. This could lead to rubbish being blown around your street or the bins causing an obstruction.
