Yesterday, Wednesday 19 March, BEAM, Hertford’s leading multi-purpose arts venue, has officially opened its much-anticipated Stage 2. After years of planning and collaboration, this marks a significant expansion of the district’s cultural and entertainment landscape. The new performance space will allow BEAM to offer an even greater variety of shows, including innovative productions, community performances, and emerging artists, solidifying its reputation as a key creative hub in the region.

Councillor Tim Hoskins Stood By A Newly Planted Tree
Commemorating East Herts Council’s 50th anniversary, 50 trees have been planted in the district’s three Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs) and areas of air pollution, with another 50 planted in locations experiencing traffic congestion and flood risk. All the trees will contribute to improving air quality and tackling the effects of climate change across the district.

East Herts Councillor Mione Goldspink Outside An Affordable Home With Housing Partners And Council Colleagues
East Herts Council and housing association CHP have announced the handover of affordable homes at St. James Park, a brand new development in Bishop’s Stortford by Countryside Partnerships (part of the Vistry Group). The council will nominate people on the council’s housing register to all 28 new homes for affordable rent, with people living in East Herts or with family or work connections to the district being prioritised for the 14 shared ownership houses.
