East Herts Council are hosting two FREE family fun events at Southern Country Park in Bishop’s Stortford and Pishiobury Park in Sawbridgeworth to celebrate #LoveParksWeek.
East Herts Council is inviting comments on an important planning document setting out a strategic vision for future development at Old River Lane in Bishop’s Stortford.
East Herts residents will begin receiving communications in the coming weeks as part of the annual electoral registration canvass; to ensure those living in the district, and entitled to register to vote, are registered and their details up to date.
Three new circular walking routes have been mapped out as part of the initiative ‘Beyond Hartham Common”, connecting communities to green open spaces, encouraging low impact exercise and to help improve general health and wellbeing.
The new Northgate End multi-storey car park opens for business in Bishop’s Stortford today (Monday, 13 June), freeing up Charringtons and Causeway for future redevelopment.
Volunteers will take to the streets of East Herts throughout June at anti-idling events in support of Clean Air Day, educating motorists on the need to switch off their engines when stopped. These events are being supported by the Hertfordshire Climate Change and Sustainability Partnership (HCCSP), of which East Herts is a member, through training and the provision of resources to communicate with motorists.
The catalyst for the revitalisation of Old River Lane in Bishop’s Stortford is now underway as the new Northgate End multi-storey car park nears completion.
