The East Herts District Plan

The District Plan sets out the planning framework for the District for the period of 2011-2033 and will deliver sustainable development. The plan will aim to provide new homes, new jobs, new facilities and infrastructure across the District. It also contains Development Management policies that will be used to determine planning applications.

Current Stage - The Council received the Inspector's Final Report and Schedule of Main Modifications on 9th July. Both documents can be viewed via the District Plan Examination page. Following receipt of the Inspector's Final Report on the Examination of the East Herts District Plan, an Extraordinary Council meeting has been arranged for Tuesday 11th September, at which the Council will be asked to determine the adoption of the District Plan. The agenda will be available on the Council's calendar of meetings web page in the week preceding the meeting.

At this stage the District Plan will be given full weight in the determination of planning applications.

Previous Stages:

The Council received the Inspector's Fact Check Report on the 25th June 2018.

The District Plan
