Live Meetings online
Watch a meeting on YouTube
Council meetings are held in the Council Chamber at Wallfields and are live-streamed via our YouTube channel.
Meetings will also be published on our YouTube channel shortly after they've finished.
You can find a list of all the meetings we've previously held via YouTube on the East Herts YouTube channel.
Where a live broadcast has taken place, an archive of the footage will also be available. The live broadcasts can be found on the East Herts Council webcasting microsite
The Council uses the Public-i service for webcasting, and keeps a public archive of committee webcasts. The archive index page will also tell you about upcoming webcasts. Webcasts will be made available through the archive for up to 6 months.
Archived webcasts or parts of webcasts may be removed from the Council's website if the Monitoring Officer considers that it is necessary because all or part of the content of the webcast is or is likely to be in breach of any statutory provision or common law doctrine, for example Data Protection and Human Rights legislation or provisions relating to confidential or exempt information.
The Chairman of any meeting has the discretion to request the termination or suspension of the webcast if in their opinion continuing to webcast would prejudice the proceedings of the meeting. This would include:
- Public disturbance or other suspension of the meeting
- Exclusion of public and press being moved and supported
- Any other reason moved, seconded and supported by the meeting
No exempt or confidential agenda items shall be webcast.
