Hertford Castle Plus

Neighbourhood Area Designation

East Herts Council has received an application from Hertford Town Council for the designation of the Castle Ward, Kingsmead West Ward and Bengeo South Ward in Hertford as a neighbourhood area.  

The Area Designation outlines the neighbourhood area which will be covered by Hertford Castle Plus Neighbourhood Plan

The application can also be viewed at East Herts Council’s Office: Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8EQ (Tuesday and Thursday 10am – 2pm).

How to Comment

Any interested person may submit representations in relation to the application. A consultation is now underway for a period of 7 weeks from 4 April to 23 May 2024.

Next Steps

After the consultation ends, the council will consider the comments received and will decide whether to formally designate the Neighbourhood Area. The final decision will be published in due course.
