By Bike

There are various facilities available for cyclists including a number of free bike racks and shelters available to use. 

By Rail

There are two railway stations in Hertford, trains to Hertford North run between Moorgate and Stevenage and trains to Hertford East run from Liverpool Street.  Wallfields is approximately 15 minutes-walk from Hertford North station and approximately 10 minutes from Hertford East station. By Bus

The bus station is situated next to the Bircherley Green shopping precinct, in the town centre, about 10 minutes-walk away. For bus timetables or journey planning please use the Intalink website. 

By Road

Hertford is on the A414 between the A1 and the A10.   From the A414 follow signs to council offices (Pegs Lane) and take the second exit at the mini-roundabout.  There is parking for visitors in the car park on the left hand side.  

Please ensure that you are at East Herts Council offices - visitors often appear at the County Council offices which are further along Pegs Lane!

The first 2 hours are free but you must display a ticket to show your arrival time
