Harlow & Gilston Garden Town lies in the core area of the London Stansted Cambridge Corridor (LSCC) - one of the most important and fastest growing economic regions in the country. The Councils of East Hertfordshire, Epping Forest and Harlow have joined forces to drive forward the continued success of the corridor as a great place to live, work and do business. Harlow & Gilston Garden Town represents a major opportunity at the heart of the corridor with the potential to accommodate tens of thousands of homes and jobs between the global centres of London and Cambridge.

Working closely with the Garden Town Steering Group, elected Members, external partners and officers across all three Councils and the two Counties, you will lead this ambitious project and enable us to deliver the vision for transformational place-shaping based on garden town principles.  Commercially astute, with strong influencing and negotiating skills, you will be able to communicate with a wide variety of people ranging from government ministers to local communities.  Inclusive growth with high quality and sustainable design is important to us and you will be committed to shaping and driving our delivery plans forward.
