Grange Paddocks

Grange Paddocks is one of the main open spaces in Bishop's Stortford. Feature a leisure centre, gym, football pitches, a running track, community fitness zones and lovely walk through the open space.

There is also a popular walk from Sworders Field in the town centre across Grange Paddocks along the River Stort and through woodland and meadowland into Red, White and Blue Open space.

We are currently working with the Countryside Management Service and other partners to develop a management plan for the park - further information will be made available soon.

Work is now starting to install two separate play areas in the open space by the Leisure Centre - an enclosed younger children's play area and an adjacent but separate area for older children with interactive electronic play equipment and a new table tennis table. Our  Enclosed Play Area drawing [8MB]  has more details of the play equipment in the younger children's play area. Details of the Interactive Play Zone equipment and the new table tennis table are shown in our Interactive Play Zone drawing [4MB] .

Community Fitness Trail at Grange Paddocks

The new Community Fitness Trail has three workout fitness stations located at points on the marked grass running track around the open space.  Our Grange Paddocks Community Fitness Trail plan [1MB]  shows the new equipment and locations.
