Parks and Open Spaces Strategy Consultation

This page will give more details on the proposed strategy for parks and open spaces for 2022-2027.

The Council is renewing its strategy for parks and open spaces which is to be an online document. As part of Love Parks Week we are launching a consultation with all our key stakeholders and members of the public. This is your chance to be involved from the outset and provide us your feedback before we begin to put our plans into action next year.

Watch the video below to see and hear a little about the strategy and what it hopes to achieve.

We understand what parks can offer the community and in preparing this strategy, outline how our parks have been brought to life and maintained at a standard of which we are proud. We set out our key objectives and focus over the next five years to ensure our green spaces continue to thrive.

Our ongoing ambition will be for our parks and open spaces to be ACE, inspiring others to partner with us to make them even better places to live and work in. We will focus on our parks being: Attractive & Accessible, Commercial and Engaged.

We welcome your views so please could you take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire by 5pm on Friday 24 September 2021.
