Adoption
The District Plan was adopted at an Extraordinary Council on 23rd October 2018.
Holding Direction
The Secretary of State issued a Holding Direction on the District Plan on the 11th September. The Direction was lifted on the 12th October 2018. More information can be found on the Holding Direction page.
Main Modifications
Following the Examination in Public, the Council consulted on a Schedule of Main Modifications.

Examination
The District Plan was subject to an Examination in Public with hearing sessions held between October 2017 and January 2018. More information can be found on the District Plan Examination pages within the District Plan Section.
Submission District Plan
The District Plan was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate on 31 March 2017
Prior to the submission of the District Plan, the Council consulted on the version of the Plan it intended to be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. Representations submitted during the consultation can be viewed on the Consultation Portal
Preferred Options District Plan, 2014
Prior to the Submission Version of the District Plan the Council in 2014 published its Preferred Options Draft District Plan. This version set out the preferred development strategy for the Council to adopt.
Interim Sustainability Appraisal Report
Issues and Options, 2010
In 2010 East Herts published and consulted on the Issues and Options Core Strategy document. This document set out the issues facing East Herts and a series of options for responding to those issues.
Local Plan, 2007
