Parliamentary Boundary Review

The Boundary Commission for England is currently undertaking a review of all Parliamentary constituency boundaries. This review is being carried out under rules laid down in the Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Act of 2011.

The changes are subject to Parliamentary approval prior to coming in to force the next Parliamentary election scheduled for May 2022.

What's changing

The new rules mean there'll be substantial changes to constituencies in England. These include reducing the number of constituencies from 650 to 600 and making sure each constituency contains a similar number of registered electors.
