East Herts Council has launched details of new mobile vending opportunities and is calling on local ice cream van operators and mobile food and beverage traders, to tender for licences to operate new pitches in key locations across the district.

Over 700 people attended guided tours at Grange Paddocks on Saturday for a rare opportunity to see artefacts that date back to Roman times, uncovered as part of the archaeological excavations undertaken for the footprint of the new 3G football pitch. Around a further 300 people dropped by to view the findings on display.

Planning permission for development of a 3G artificial football pitch at Grange Paddocks in Bishop’s Stortford has been given the green light; and is set to open by the end of August 2022 - in time for the start of next year’s football season.
