Jewel of Hearts owner handing over lottery win to bride to be Deborah Rogers inside shop
Deborah Rogers from Hertford chose Jewel of Hearts in the town centre when she won £150 in the East Herts Community Lottery to spend on an independent business of her choice.

Deborah, who has been preparing for her wedding, asked Jewel of Hearts owner Sal Ismet to convert a salmon pearl necklace that she’d inherited from her mum into a bracelet to wear on her wedding day.

Sal generously upped the voucher to £200 so Deborah will be popping back soon to spend the rest of her prize. She said: "I was delighted to win and I chose this shop because it was recommended to me by a friend." Deborah supports Bury Rangers FC with her lottery tickets because her sons play for the team.

Sal said: "Anything that helps the high street is great and it's particularly nice that Deborah chose us because of a recommendation."
