Have your say on Sele and Bengeo Neighbourhood Plans

Bengeo Neighbourhood Plan front cover
Bengeo and Sele residents have put together Neighbourhood Plans, setting out their vision for the future of the area.

The two plans look at themes such as sustainable travel, heritage assets and community facilities alongside many other important themes in their area.
A neighbourhood plan puts in place planning policy for a neighbourhood area to guide future development and is adopted by the Local Authority as part of the statutory development plan.

Before the planning authority, which is East Herts Council, can adopt the plan, it needs to firstly hear the views of the public. After this consultation closes, the plan is then assessed by an independent examiner and if successful residents will vote on the plan at a referendum.

The consultation runs for a period of 8 weeks starting July 16, until 5pm on September 10.

The Neighbourhood Plan, supporting documents and an online comment form can be found on our website.

Due to the closure of the council’s offices, we will not be providing hard copies of the consultation documents at viewing points. All of the submission documents are available to view on the website above, but should you require an alternative way of accessing these documents, please call us on 01279 655261
