Are concerns about climate change and what you can do about it high on your agenda? If so, come along to East Herts Council’s free climate change event next month and get involved.

The interactive afternoon will allow you to discuss key topics in a series of round tables and help identify key priorities. It will explore how the council, individuals and groups can all contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the district.

It’s on Wednesday January 15, 1.30-5pm (registration from 1pm) at Fletcher’s Lea, Ware Priory. Ware.

Graham McAndrew, executive member for environmental sustainability, said: “East Herts Council is committed to moving towards net zero carbon emissions and we want residents, people working in academia, business and retailers to join us on this eco-journey.

“Our new vision, which will inform everything we do over the next three years, puts sustainability at the heart of everything we do so this is the perfect time for this forum to take place.

“The climate change event is an opportunity for anyone who’s interested, at whatever level, to come along, discuss ideas and contribute their own thoughts. If we’re going to achieve our goals, it will need everyone to take part.”

The event is being held under the banner of the East Herts Environment and Climate Change Forum which is set to meet regularly. So you can choose to sign up and potentially attend future events too.
