Household Enquiry Forms - Annual Elections Canvass

Each year we are legally required to update our Electoral Services Register. We send forms out to every household so we can confirm who is eligible to register to vote. This is a legal requirement and you must respond to this request.

How to respond

There are several ways you can respond.


The easiest and quickest way to respond is to complete the online form.

You will need to enter your two part security code, and you will then be asked to confirm your household residents (only their names and nationalities) and then click submit.


You can complete the paper form and post it back to us in the envelope provided (postage is free).


If nothing has changed you can call 0800 197 9871, you will be asked to enter your two part security code.


If nothing has changed you can text NOCHANGE followed by your security code to 80212.

Key dates

  • 27 July 2018 - We will send out the Household Enquiry form to all households in the district.
  • 31 August 2018 - If you do not reply to the Household Enquiry form we will send you a reminder
  • 20 September 2018 - We will start knocking on doors for any household who hasn't replied.

By responding to the Household Enquiry Form you're not automatically registered to vote. If you add anyone new to your Household Enquiry Form we will send out a seperate registration form to vote - these will be posted on 31 August 2018, alternatively you can register to vote on the GOV.UK website.
