Briefing sessions for election candidates

If you are standing for election to East Herts Council on May 2nd you're encouraged to attend one of three briefing sessions.

They are on:

·        Tuesday March 5 at 1pm and

·        Wednesday March 13 at 5.30pm and 7pm.

at the council's Hertford office, Wallfields, Pegs Lane, SG13 8EQ.

The session will last no longer than two hours and is recommended for both candidates and election agents to hear about the nomination process and how the elections will be run.

The briefing will run through the nomination process - how to complete your nomination paper, the do's and don'ts of the campaign, your legal duties, how postal vote opening will be managed and the count arrangements. It will offer useful tips and guidance.

There will be limited spaces in the visitors' car park on March 5. The nearest public car park is Gascoyne Way multi storey. For details visit www.eastherts.gov.uk/parking On March 13 the onsite staff car park will be available.

You can turn up on the night, although it would be helpful if you could email electors@eastherts.gov.uk if you're planning to attend.
