Have a lark in the park

Free summer activities for young people

Slacklining and Lark in the Park, with arts, sports and crafts, are some of the free activities on offer across Bishop's Stortford, Buntingford and Sawbridgeworth this summer.

There's trampolining and a climbing wall on Hartham Common, and Lark in the Park at Ware.

A busy programme, organised by the Community Safety Partnership, is aimed at 11-19-year-olds who live in the district, providing a safe place for young people to enjoy themselves.

Eric Buckmaster, executive member for health and wellbeing, said: "Young people looking for something to do this summer will find a good choice in our programme. And parents will be pleased to see that all the activities are free."

Funders include East Herts Council, YC Hertfordshire, Network Homes, Clarion Homes, and the town councils in Bishop's Stortford, Buntingford, Hertford and Ware.
