Thinking about volunteering in 2018?

The New Year is a great time to think about getting involved in something different and East Herts Council is encouraging all residents to consider doing some volunteering this year.

Giving some of your time freely is rewarding, as it feels good and helps to build self-confidence. It can also help with making contacts and improve job prospects.

On February 13 there is a free workshop at Charrington's House in Bishop's Stortford with information about how to find a volunteering role which suits your skills, along with the basics around becoming a trustee. You can register to attend by calling 01462 689 409 or book at Eventbrite

Volunteering opportunities are wide-ranging and extremely flexible to suit the individual. Time-stretched volunteers can get involved in one-off events without the commitment to a regular slot each week/month.
