Young dancer sought for theatre show

The search is on to find a local young dancer to join cast of hit show David Walliams' Gangsta Granny on stage at Hertford Theatre.

Birmingham Stage Company, the acclaimed producers of the hit David Walliams play GANGSTA GRANNY, are looking for an 18 year old girl dancer to play a small but important part in the show when it plays at Hertford Theatre from 22nd to 24th March as part of its current UK tour.

Neal Foster, the show's director, said today: "This is a really good opportunity for a young dancer just starting in the profession to get a great addition to her CV as well as gain valuable on stage experience acting with a professional company in a show rated 4 stars by national critics. We envisage full houses at Hertford Theatre so the girl chosen will have a week to remember, dancing a solo in front of huge enthusiastic audiences. Whoever is selected will find it a wonderful and unforgettable experience!"
Any 18 year old female dancers interested in being considered should email a demo video of herself performing a short modern/disco piece to gangstagranny@birminghamstage.com

The chosen dancer will be sent a video of the 2 minute dance she will be performing in the show so she can learn the choreography. She will be expected to perform in all Gangsta Granny performances, both daytimes and evenings, at Hertford Theatre across the run.
She will be paid a fee of £21.38 for each show.
