Pickleball class starting in Stortford

A new pickleball class is starting on Sunday November 26, from 10am-11.30am in the sports hall at Birchwood High School, Parsonage Lane, CM23 5BD.

Pickleball is a mixture between badminton, table tennis and tennis. It's ideal for those aged 50 plus looking to try some gentle, friendly activity in a relaxed atmosphere.

Coach Keith Dunn said: "Even if you've never played a racket sport in your life, you can be playing and having fun within the first hour.

"Pickleball is played on a badminton court so you don't have to go far to chase the ball, the ball is slow and rallies last longer than other racket sports. It will also help you to get fitter and healthier."

A participant of an existing class, Elizabeth, said: "Forever Active has changed my life. I have much more energy than before. From doing no exercise whatsoever I now not only do pickle ball, but also do badminton, Tai chi and golf."

The weekly class costs £4, first class £2. If you are ready to give it a try, just turn up.

If you would like more information contact Keith at k.dunn1@hotmail.co.uk or Christine Neyndorff at chrisneyndorff@btinternet.com or call  07903 387669.
