Anti Social Behaviour

The term 'anti-social behaviour' (ASB) relates to a wide range of behaviour that can blight the quality of life for communities. You can report ASB using our online form.

Community Triggers

The Community Trigger gives victims and communities the right to request that agencies deal with persistent ASB by reviewing their case and any actions taken. Any resident within East Herts can request a trigger if they feel they meet the criteria.

Hate Crime

Hate Crime is a criminal offence. It is defined as subjecting a person to harassment, victimisation, intimidation or abuse because of their race, faith, religion, disability or because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

The Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) 2016 (as extended and varied 2019) came into force on 1st May 2019

Domestic Homicide Reviews

Since 2011 East Herts Community Safety Partnership has had a responsibility for undertaking Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs), where the death of a person aged 16 or over has or appears to have, resulted from violence, abuse or neglect by a relative, household member or someone she/he has been in an intimate relationship with.

Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults

Safeguarding is everybody's business we all have a part to play in preventing, identifying and reporting neglect and abuse of children and vulnerable adults. We have put measures in place and work with other agencies/organisations to protect those that cannot protect themselves.
