Request Description

 I am requesting:

The amount spent by your authority on the installation of public-facing CCTV cameras and the purchase or lease of recording equipment and premises.

The annual cost of your authority's public-facing CCTV operation and maintenance. I would like this information broken down into fixed and mobile camera devices. 

The annual wage and salary cost of CCTV operators including pension liabilities to your authority. The total number of cameras controlled by your authority as of 1st March 2015.

I request that the time period covered  1st March 2012-1st March 2015.

If your authority's public-facing CCTV operation is operated by either the local police or another council, or on behalf of another authority, please make this clear and provide any details of the annual cost of the lease or annual stipend paid to (or received from) these organisations for the operation of the CCTV network.

The annual wage and salary cost of CCTV operators including pension liabilities to your authority.  We operate as part of a CCTV partnership and are unable to provide those costs.  They are included in the above sums.

The total number of cameras controlled by your authority as of 1st March 2015.                         

41 cameras plus 5 small body card type cameras worn by the Taxi and alcohol licensing enforcement team as personal protection and evidence gathering
