How we Allocate Homes

Affordable housing is allocated according to the council's local Housing Register and Allocations scheme. The Housing Register and Allocations Policy is a document that sets out how the Council awards priority, via a points based system, to applicants that need to be considered for a registered provider's (also called housing associations) home.  The current policy was adopted by the Council and came into effect on 1 May 2013.
