• Unilateral undertaking

  is an obligation offered by the applicant to the planning authority either in support of a planning application or a planning appeal. The terms of the agreement are identified by the applicant

• Unitary Development Plan (UDP)

  Provided the land use and transportation planning policy framework for the control of development across the entire District

• Urgent Works Notice

  The Council has power under the Planning (Listed Building & Conservation Areas) Act 1990 to undertake urgent works necessary for the preservation of unoccupied listed buildings and buildings in conservation areas.

• Use Classes Order (UCO)

  The Town & Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987, as amended groups land uses into various classes for planning purposes.
