All new applications received by East Herts Council are available for viewing on the Council's website. You can make a comment or an objection on an application using the online system.
To view and comment on planning applications, please see Planning Search Page
This system allows you to search by address, planning application reference or by navigating a map.
You can also select preset listings for a given week's or month's applications, filtered by Parish and/or Ward.
Alternatively you can search for listed buildings, conservation areas, Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), and historic maps back to 1977 on the East Herts Online Maps
Tracking Applications and Saving Searches
You can register on the planning search page to track planning applications (you will receive an email update whenever any activity occurs on an application you are tracking) and to save custom preset searches (for example you can set a search radius around your own property and save that so you only have to login and hit the preset saved search, rather than clicking through to the map and navigating to your address ever time.)
The online planning history of a site available on the council website may not be complete and must not therefore be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal Land Charge Search. No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from Public Access. Similarly the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
Plans, drawings and material submitted to the Council are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner. Any comments on applications submitted to the Council will remain in the public domain and can be viewed by other members of the public.
