You can now make some payments to East Herts Council day or night, seven days a week, using our new electronic payments system.

Our system is fully secure and controlled with receipt and authorisation numbers given as confirmation of payment.

You can use our payments facility to pay for any of the following:

• Council Tax - note: there will be an additional 2% charge for a council tax bill paid using a credit card. (This charge will not be applied if you make payment using a debit card).
• Pay your Invoice
• Parking Fines - note: only charges with the prefix "ET" can be paid using the on-line facility.
• Overpaid Benefits - note: credit card payments will be accepted for these charges.
• NNDR (Business Rates) - note: credit card payments can be accepted for these charges, however there will be an additional 2% charge for an NNDR bill paid using a credit card
• Pay for your Planning Application

What next?

Early next year, we also plan to give you the ability to make 'one- off' payments to the council too, such as fees for planning applications. As demand grows for payment on-line and over the phone, we will look to see what other services can be included on the system.
