If your boiler is several years old you may save energy and money if it is replaced. When you buy a new boiler consider the new condensing boilers which are more economical to run.

The extra cost may be recouped in a few years with continued savings for many years to come.

Heating controls including thermostats, cylinder stats, time clocks, thermostatic radiator valves, and zone controls all help to maintain comfort levels while reducing energy consumption and savings costs. If your central heating is being extended consider upgrading now.

Check that your hot water pipes and cylinder are effectively lagged.
