How The Contract is Awarded
The Council will evaluate the tender bids on the basis of the most financially favourable or the 'Most Economically Advantageous Tender', sometimes know as 'MEAT'.
You should note that the Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any of the bids submitted. After evaluating the bids, if the Council is satisfied that you can carry out the work you will be awarded the contract.
If you are not awarded the contract you will be notified in writing that you have been unsuccessful. You will not be sent the tender results automatically, however you can obtain a copy of the results for works/services contracts by writing to the appropriate Division.
