Housing Capacity AssessmentIntroductionEast Herts Council commissioned Entec UK Ltd. to undertake a Housing Capacity Assessment and Edge of Settlement Assessment for the District. The Housing Capacity Assessment (HCA) and Edge of Settlement Assessment (EoSA) will form part of the evidence base to be used by East Herts Council to prepare its Local Development Framework (LDF), specifically its Core Strategy and Site Allocation DPDs. The HCA and the accompanying EoSA consider the future housing capacity of the district and the studies form the initial stage of work on the Council's Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA). The purpose of the SHLAA is to identify sufficient deliverable sites to ensure a continuous five year supply of housing land as required by PPS3. Following publication of the final HCA report, some inconsistencies in the data were identified. As such, Entec have produced an Addendum Report setting out the revised figures. To view the written reports (including executive summary's) of the HCA and EoSA along with associated appendices please follow the links below.
