East Herts Grants Programme 2023/24

The council’s 2023/24 grants programme has now launched.

This year we have:

  • £40,000 for community grants to improve health and wellbeing
  • £20,000 for local environmental sustainability projects and
  • at least £20,000 for cultural activities.

The grants can be applied for by voluntary and community groups, non-for-profit organisations, faith groups, town and parish councils and, in some circumstances, individuals and informal groups.

This year we are giving potential applicants the chance to familiarise themselves with the priorities for each funding stream and the grant eligibility criteria before we open the application process. We think this will give potential applicants more time to develop their ideas for their project and so increase the quality of the applications they subsequently make.

To help this process, if you think you might want to apply for a grant, we strongly encourage you to read the priorities under each of the funding streams to make sure your proposal is in line with this year’s grants programme.

Also, we suggest that as you consider your proposal, you check the eligibility criteria first to make sure you are in a position to receive funding from the council.
