Types of Cookies we use
The East Herts Council website uses two types of 'cookies', which are small text files placed on your computer. Cookies set by one website cannot be accessed by any other websites.
The first is a session cookie that does nothing more than identify to the server that a user session has started (in other words that someone has landed on a web page) and store the session ID to allow the server to properly send the the information from the website (show them web pages).

What Information is collected
