Films for everyone
Film shows at Castle Hall are proving a hit and building up a loyal following. All films have been requested by members of the public, so if there’s something you’d like to see, let Castle Hall know – there’s a feedback form at every show or you can email them at castle.hall@eastherts.gov.uk.
Tickets for screenings can be booked in advance and is proving an extremely popular option with Castle Hall cinema audiences. You can book by calling 01992 531500 or in person at the box office in The Wash.

Seating
In April 2006 we introduced tiered seating into our main theatre which will completely enhance your viewing of our shows. So what makes the £150,000 seating at Castle Hall so special? It can be pulled into place by just two people within two hours, without damaging the maple floor in the main auditorium. Previously, having temporary raked seating meant Castle Hall couldn’t be used for a whole day either side of an event while the cumbersome framework was erected or dismantled.
The seating is moved into place through a motorised system which ‘hovers’ above the floor, preventing damage. The platforms are stiffer which means they feel more permanent – a benefit for the audiences using them and there are 1,000 less components on the system compared to more traditional seating – which means reduced servicing costs over the next 25 years and beyond.
Booking
We've made it easier to book tickets for shows at Castle Hall - you can order and pay for show tickets at the click of your computer button with on-line booking and payment through a secure Internet link. (You will still be able to book by telephone or call and see us at Castle Hall during the opening times if you prefer.)
